Standing Radial Nerve Mobilization is a gentle neural “glide” that biases the radial nerve pathway along the lateral arm and posterior forearm. It uses a coordinated upper-limb position—shoulder depression and internal rotation, elbow extension, forearm pronation, and wrist/finger flexion with ulnar deviation—to create a light, sliding tension rather than a strong muscle stretch. Postural muscles and scapular stabilizers help maintain neutral spine and controlled shoulder position while the nerve moves relative to surrounding tissues. You can fine-tune intensity by side-bending the neck: away increases tension; toward reduces it. Expect only a mild, mobile tension across the outside of the arm or back of the forearm/hand; ease off if you feel sharp pain, increasing tingling, or numbness.

How To Do The Standing Radial Nerve Mobilization Exercise
‘- Stand tall with feet about hip-width, ribs stacked over pelvis, and neck long; keep a neutral spine.
– Let the working shoulder relax downward (gentle scapular depression); avoid shrugging.
– Place the arm slightly out to the side (~20–30°), elbow bent about 90°, wrist neutral to start.
– Extend the elbow as you pronate the forearm.
– Flex the wrist and fingers and add slight ulnar deviation; internally rotate the shoulder so the palm faces out/back.
– Keep the shoulder down and chest quiet—no rib flare or back arching.
– Gently tilt your head away from the working arm to increase neural tension; tilt toward the arm to decrease. Stay in a comfortable, light tension range.
– Move slowly and smoothly; breathe normally. If symptoms intensify (pins and needles, burning, or sharp pain), reduce the range or stop.
