How To Do The Sprint Exercise
‘- Choose a flat, unobstructed surface with adequate run‑off; wear secure footwear.
– Stand tall with a neutral spine, head in line with the torso, eyes forward, shoulders relaxed.
– Set one foot slightly forward; opposite arm forward with elbows about 90 degrees.
– Initiate by pushing the ground back hard (triple extension at ankle, knee, hip); avoid pulling yourself forward.
– During acceleration, keep a slight lean from the ankles (not the waist) and take quick, progressively longer steps.
– Transition to a tall posture at top speed: hips high, ribcage stacked over pelvis, head neutral.
– Arm action: drive elbows back and down; hands travel roughly cheek‑to‑hip; avoid crossing the midline.
– Leg action: recover the heel under the glute, drive the knee forward on the front side, then strike under the hips.

Sprint Beginner Introduction
