How To Do The Balance Board Exercise
‘- Place the balance board on a clear, non‑slip surface; stand near a stable support if needed.
– Step onto the center with feet hip‑width and parallel; distribute weight evenly through the tripod of each foot (big toe, little toe, heel).
– Soften your knees; align ribs over pelvis; maintain a neutral spine and eyes forward.
– Lightly brace your midsection and gently engage your glutes to keep the pelvis level.
– Aim to keep the board as level as possible; use small ankle motions and subtle hip abduction/external rotation to control sway.
– Track knees over the second toe; avoid knee valgus/varus and avoid locking the knees.
