How To Do The Clock Push-Up Exercise

‘- Set up in a high plank: hands under or slightly outside shoulders, fingers spread, forearms vertical, legs straight, feet hip-width.
– Create full-body tension: lightly tuck pelvis, brace the abdomen, squeeze glutes, and keep a long neutral neck with eyes on the floor.
– Externally rotate through the hands (elbow pits slightly forward) to “pack” the shoulders; lightly retract and depress the scapulae.
– Lower the chest between the hands, keeping elbows roughly 30–45° from the torso; maintain a quiet ribcage and neutral spine.
– Press back to full elbow extension while reaching through the floor to protract the scapulae at the top without shrugging.
– “Clock” step: Move one hand a small, controlled step to a new position (e.g., diagonally forward/out for the right hand ≈ 1–2 o’clock; left hand ≈ 10–11 o’clock). Keep hips square and weight balanced.
